Aboriginal Engagement

AK Evans Earthmoving recognises and respects the Traditional Owners of the land upon which our projects are located and their links to culture and heritage. We see Traditional Land Owners as key stakeholders in our business.

As a Company, we are committed to providing full, fair and reasonable engagement opportunities for Aboriginal people. We will commit to engagement in the areas of:

  • Training and Education
  • Employment
  • Business Development & Capacity Building
  • Community and Cultural Awareness.

We are pleased to confirm that we have embarked on delivery of this believe in a practical manner, with the following key initiatives:

  • MaraMara Joint Venture established on the 1 December 2013. This is an equal party JV with Kurtarra Pty Ltd, an Aboriginal Company of founded by the Jaffrey and Sam families of the Palyku Group. The JV has been successful in getting Vendor status with some of the largest Mining Companies in the Pilbara, and is already supplying services to the likes of Roy Hill, FMG, MacDow, NRW.
